The Graduate Council Minutes are mailed and e-mailed to all Council members,
deans, chairs, and graduate advisors. The minutes will be posted to the

1. Minutes of the fifth meeting, held on February
7, 2002, were approved with one correction:
New Graduate Faculty member Vernon Lansford was approved. His name was
misspelled in the minutes of the February 7, 2002 Graduate Council meeting.

5. The Graduate and Professional Student Government
Association (GPSGA) hosted a thesis/dissertation workshop on Friday, February
15. The workshop was a success with over 100 students attending. The annual
Research/Poster Session will be April 5, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. in the TLTC.

a. GTMP status in the Graduate School was discussed. Please see page 29
of the Graduate Catalog for information and procedures. Graduate Advisors
are encouraged to monitor GTMPs in their department so that procedures
are followed in an effort to admit students to degree programs in a timely
manner.
The seventh meeting of the 2001-2002 Graduate Council will be held at
2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2002, in the Provost Conference Room, 104
Administration.
